Zulhas Regarding The 2024 Jakarta Gubernatorial Election: We Follow Prabowo's Directions

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) said he would follow the direction of the leader of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Prabowo Subianto in determining the candidate for governor and deputy governor (readgub) in the 2024 Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor Election (Pilgub).

KIM only needs to inaugurate Ridwan Kamil's candidacy as a governor's reading in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"So this is it, if the coalition (KIM) in the regional elections we will join our leader Pak Prabowo. What is his direction, we will join," said Zulkifli Hasan in Cikarang, West Java, Tuesday, August 7.

When asked whether KIM would cooperate with other parties such as Nasdem and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) to carry RK, the chairman of PAN admitted that he would follow the Gerindra Party's decision.

"We'll just go with Gerindra," said Zulhas.

As previously reported, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani gave a strong signal that Ridwan Kamil will run in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. Muzani revealed this through a rhyme that refers to the former mayor of Bandung and West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil will fight in the Jakarta gubernatorial election

"Jakarta answers using rhymes. Go to Pangkalan Jati to buy babat. Eat porridge with lotek. DKI Province will be even greater. If the governor is an architect," said Ahmad Muzani at the parliament complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta on Monday.

Meanwhile, PAN Secretary General Eddy Soeparno said his party proposed Zita Anjani in the 2023 Jakarta gubernatorial election, while Desy Ratnasari-Bima Arya for the West Java gubernatorial election.

This was conveyed by Eddy after attending the 26th Anniversary of the Crescent Star Party at The Sultan Hotel, Central Jakarta, on Saturday.

"We have conveyed to West Java from the start that we have two cadres that we want to propose in pairs with the cagub, namely Kang Bima Arya and Teh Desy Ratnasari, for Jakarta we have Mbak Zita Anjani," said Eddy Soeparno.
