PKS: Could Be KIM Plus Supporting Pak Anies

JAKARTA - Secretary of the Regional Leadership Council (DPW) of the DKI Jakarta Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Abdul Azis admitted that he was not worried about the discourse on the formation of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Plus for the nomination of candidates for governor-deputy governors of Jakarta. Aziz said that so far there have been no names of DKI Jakarta cagub figures that have been widely disclosed by the coalition that carries Prabowo-Gibran in the 2024 presidential election and the discourse of additional political parties outside their camp. "We don't know yet, firstly, who is nominated for this fat coalition. Don't assume first, 'oh, we will fight Pak Anies'. Not necessarily. It could be that this fat coalition supports Pak Anies," Aziz told reporters, Sunday, August 4. Aziz is confident that Anies' electability will continue to skyrocket at the top until the day of the 2024 Pilkada election. According to him, no other figure will be able to beat Anies in the Jakarta gubernatorial election battle. "Just realistic, yes. Parties see electability. Who can fight Anies electability? I don't think anyone can be compared to him yet," explained Aziz. Therefore, if KIM Plus is formed, PKS invites them to join forces and carry Anies in pairs with the Deputy Chairperson of the PKS Syuro Council Sohibul Iman. "So, we invite all parties, already, just join our coalition so that Pak Anies-Sohibul Iman can perform together in Jakarta, we manage Jakarta well together in the future. It's better for all of us," said the member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. Previously, the daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that there would be an Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) plus in the Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor Elections (Pilgub), West Java (West Java), and Central Java (Central Java). This opens the possibility of other parties outside KIM joining the pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor candidate (cagub-cawagub) in the three regions.

However, Dasco was reluctant to mention in detail the political party that joined KIM in the 2024 Regional Head Election (Pilkada). "In time, it will definitely be decided in one vote together by the Forward Indonesia Coalition Plus. There will be an Advanced Indonesia Coalition Plus later," said Dasco.
