Ferdinando Solossa And Poverty Reduction Mission In Maybrat Regency

JAKARTA - Already received a recommendation from the Democratic Party to run in the 2024 regional elections, the Deputy Regent of Maybrat, Southwest Papua, Ferdinando Solossa is optimistic that he will get support from other parties.

Paired with Karel Murafel, he is optimistic that he can advance in the 2024 regional elections to fight for the position of Regent and Deputy Regent of Maybrat Regency. "Because the Democrat Party has two seats, we just need to find two more seats to meet the minimum limit as a candidate pair who can participate in the regional elections," said Ferdinando Soossa when he stopped by the VOI office, Thursday, August 1.

Currently, the Murafel and Ferdinando pairs are approaching political parties that have the opportunity to provide support. "We have approached PDIP (3 seats), then Golkar Party (3 seats), Gerindra Party (1 seat). As a Gokar cadre, I am optimistic that I can meet the target of at least 20 percent of the toll road seats in the DPRD. Moreover, if PDIP and Gerindra can provide support, it will be even better," said Nando, hoping that in a week he would receive news about this support.

As a Golkar cadre, I am also very optimistic that I will receive a recommendation from the Golkar Party DPP. "After receiving the recommendation, I will immediately consolidate and raise Golkar Maybrat cadres so that they can win the election," said the former chairman of the Maybrat DPRD 2014-2019 and 2019-2024.

Because Maybrat is in the category of underdeveloped areas and high extreme poverty, this couple, said Ferdinando, will prioritize poverty alleviation. "We will fight so that Maybrat can escape as an underdeveloped area and hold the predicate of extreme poverty," he said.

In addition, health factors and community economic empowerment also get attention. This will be socialized before the election is broken. "Stunting in Maybrat district is still high. This will be our concern if it gets people's trust later," said Ferdinando Solossa.
