Survey Proves That Anies Candidates For 2024 Are Most Chosen By Young Voters, Deputy Governor Riza: Too Premature

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria responded to the results of the Indonesian Political Indicator survey which stated that DKI Governor Anies Baswedan received the highest electability in the 2024 presidential candidate market from young voters.

According to Riza, it is still too early for the public to project their choice of presidential candidates in 2024, including the names that many people choose.

"This is 2021 in March. Too much, too far, too early, too fast, too premature if we talk about the presidential election," said Deputy Governor Riza at Polda Metro Jaya, Tuesday, March 23.

Riza said that currently all officials, including the president, vice president, governors, mayors, and regents, are currently focusing on carrying out development in each of their respective powers.

"Let us succeed. Our task is to serve, help our community, ensure that society is safe, peaceful, prosperous and productive," he said.

It is known, the Indonesian Political Indicator Survey institute released the latest survey results regarding the choice of young people for President in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). As a result, the majority of respondents wanted DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to become president.

Executive Director of Indonesian Political Indicators, Burhanuddin Muhtadi said, as many as 15.2 percent of young respondents chose the former Minister of Education and Culture.

Furthermore, in second place, the name of the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, was chosen by 13.7 percent of the respondents.

"The name with the absolute highest is Anies Baswedan at 15.2 percent. Ganjar 13.7 percent, the difference is insignificant," said Burhanuddin in his presentation of the survey entitled 'The National Survey of Youth Voices on National Socio-Political Issues' which was held online. , Sunday, March 21.

While in third position, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil was chosen by 10.2 percent of respondents; Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno as much as 9.8 percent; and followed by the name of the Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto as much as 9.5 percent of respondents.

Burhanuddin explained that Anies' votes came mostly from Prabowo-Sandi voters in the 2019 Presidential Election. Meanwhile, if seen from the ethnicity and voting age, Anies received an average of 12 percent of the votes of the Javanese ethnic group.
