PKS Optimistic Sohibul Able To Kerek Electability Anies Baswedan

JAKARTA PKS spokesman, Ahmad Mabruri dismissed the assumption that Sohibul Iman could not increase Anies Baswedan's electability in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada as shown by the results of the Political Indicators survey.

"If the election is carried out now, the result (Political Indicator) Anies-Sohibul Iman is 43.1 percent. However, with the running of time and socialization of AMAN during the election, it could increase to 60 percent," he said, Sunday, July 28, 2024.

Some time ago, the Executive Director of Political Indicators, Burhanuddin Muhtadi, revealed that Sohibul Iman did not have an electoral effect after conducting several simulations of Anies with various different companion figures.

He explained that when Anies was duet with Andika Perkasa, the pair won 43.1 percent, with Sandiaga Uno 44 percent, with Ahamd Sahroni 43.3 percent and paired with Sohibul Iman 43.1 percent.

The results of the survey, continued Burhanuddin, showed that even without Sohibul Iman, Anies' electability was stable, reaching 40 percent. Because Sohibul Iman's base from PKS with Anies overlapped, so he didn't contribute much.

Mabruri said that the 43 percent figure shown by the results of the Political Indicators survey was due to the lack of optimal movement of PKS cadres in socializing the Anies Baswedan and Sohibul Iman duo.

"43 percent of this is because all PKS cadres have not moved yet, they are still cool. Later, when it is the campaign period, of course, the party engine will be gaspol," he said.
