BPKH Limited Sign Hotel Management Contracts In Mecca And Medina

JAKARTA - A subsidiary of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), BPKH Limited officially signed a contract for the management of two hotels in Saudi Arabia. The signing of the contract was carried out at the 2024 International Islamic Expo (IE) which was held at the Jakarta Convention Center, Friday, July 26. BPKH Limited Director, Sidiq Haryono said, this investment was realized through the collaboration of BPKH Limited with the subsidiary service provider Hajj and Umrah, PT Arsy Buana Travelindo Tbk, namely ABT Limited and Syarikah in Saudi. "Alhamdulillah BPKH Limited successfully made an investment that became our common dream, by renting a full hotel for 3 years in Medina for the Umrah season, namely Anshar Golden Tulip Hotel," said Sidiq in his statement, Saturday, July 27. For information, Anshar Golden Tulip is a 3-star hotel with a capacity of 2,800 worshipers. In addition to Medina, BPKH Limited received an allotment or hotel room coverage in Mecca.

"We also signed a contract to get an allocation of 200 rooms at the Hilton Convention Mecca, a 5-star hotel that is very close to the illegal Mosque area with a capacity of 600 to 700 worshipers," added Sidiq.

Sidiq explained that this agreement was a big breakthrough because BPKH Limited was able to get a significant number of rooms. So it is hoped that it will make it easier for the Umrah and Hajj industries in Indonesia to get access to 5-star rooms in illegal areas.

He revealed that the management contracts of the two hotels took effect from 1 Safar 1446 Hijri or coinciding with Monday 5 August 2024.

"We have carried out the distribution of the two hotels with ABT Limited, and so far we have received a lot of interest," said Sidiq.

Siqiq is optimistic that investments at the Anshar Golden Tulip Medina and the Hilton Convention Hotel Mecca will provide great benefits for managing Hajj funds.

"We believe these two investments will provide a much higher profit than other investment instruments that have been made before, and all of these profits will be returned to improve congregational services," said Sidiq.

Sidiq also believes that BPKH Limited's decision to enter the accommodation business will not erode the market for Hajj and Umrah industry players.

"BPKH Limited will not be a competitor, instead we want to bring better facilities to the players in this industry," said Sidiq.
