BANDARLAMPUNG - Lampung Regional Police (Polda) dismantled the circulation of 30 kilograms of methamphetamine from Malaysia from an international drug network.
"The disclosure of the distribution of methamphetamine is the result of the cooperation of various parties, including the manager of the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll Road," said Lampung Police Chief Inspector General Helmy Santika as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 26.
The disclosure operation was carried out on Tuesday (9/7) at 12.30 WIB, at several strategic locations, namely occurred at the entrance to Bakauheni Port, the exit of the South Bakauheni Toll Road, and at restaurants in Jambi and Tanjung Balai Provinces, North Sumatra.
"The seven suspects we have secured are Suwendo, M. Riski, Ardiansyah, Syafa, Riko, Sujiman, and Elon Dedi Hutabarat," said the Lampung Police Chief.
In this operation, the police confiscated evidence in the form of 30 kg of crystal methamphetamine, several vehicles, including a silver Toyota Avanza and two Daihatsu Terios, as well as 10 mobile phones and savings books.
"On Tuesday (9/7) at around 08.00 WIB, during the inspection of the vehicle, officers suspected M Riski's cellphone containing photos of three suspicious bags. After the interrogation, the suspects admitted that the bag contained methamphetamine-type narcotics stored in Toyota AvanzaSilver," he said.
According to the Lampung Police Chief, on the same day, at 12.30 WIB, the joint team secured the vehicle at the exit of the South Bakauheni Toll Road with 30 kg of crystal methamphetamine as evidence.

"The development of the case was carried out on Wednesday (10/7) at around 13.00 WIB, with the arrest of Riko and Sujiman at a restaurant in Jambi Province.
