As is known, Hamzah Haz died at the age of 84 at 09.30 at his residence in Tegalan, Matraman Jakarta. Hamzah Haz was born in Ketapang, West Kalimantan, on February 15, 1940. He was the General Chair of PPP for two terms (1998-2007) and served as the 9th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia accompanying President Megawati Soekarnoputri (2001-2004). Previously, Hamzah Haz was active in the DPR RI and also served as Minister.
