PKB-PDIP Creates Special Forums To Discuss Coalition Plans In Pilkada

Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar has continued to communicate with the PDI-P to discuss the potential for the coalition in the 2024 Pilkada.

In fact, PKB and PDIP have special forums in this discussion. This was revealed by Cak Imin when confirming that PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri sent party elites to visit PKB.

"Yes, that's it. We have a forum between the regional election team, specifically with the PDI-P, to continue to look for common ground between existing areas," said Cak Imin after the 26th PKB Harlah, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 23 evening.

However, Cak Imin emphasized that there has been no agreement to carry the pair of regional head candidates together with the PDIP. Including the question of the DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election, which also has no common ground.

"Not yet. Still in the continuous speaker," said Cak Imin.

Previously, PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto revealed that Megawati Soekarnoputri had sent the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP Ahmad Basarah to establish communication with the National Awakening Party (PKB).

"Today there is a PKB National Working Conference (Mukernas) and Birthday (Harlah) from PKB, because we are also Mr. Baskara (Chairman of the PDIP DPP Ahmad Basarah) assigned by Mrs. Mega there, as well as conducting political communication with PKB," said Hasto, Tuesday, July 23.

Hasto emphasized that PDIP is open to collaborating with PKB in DKI Jakarta, Central Java, East Java and Riau. Therefore, intense communication between these two parties is indeed needed.

According to Hasto, the figure who will be promoted for the DKI Jakarta Pilkada has also begun to be narrowed. Megawati will also announce the names that will advance in the regional elections simultaneously.

"The name Jakarta is very important and strategic, so it is related to who will be nominated, later it will be announced simultaneously by Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, including governors in Java and outside Java, such as the North Sumatra Pilkada," he explained.
