BOGOR - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Bogor Regency, West Java evacuated the body of a child with a disability named Yazid Wijaya (10) who drowned in Ciliwung River, Kedung Waringin Village, Bojonggede, Bogor. Head of Emergency and Logistics BPBD Bogor Regency Adam Hamdani revealed that the victim, who was found drowned on Saturday, July 20, 20, 2024, at around 15.30 WIB, could only be found at around 23.05 WIB. "The victim Yazid Wijaya was found to be a joint SAR team about 2.5 meters from the last location of the victim. Found dead," said Adam, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 21. The victim was first discovered drowned in Ciliwung River by two witnesses named Rama (12) and Fabian who were currently playing in the area. According to the statements from the two witnesses, the victim shouted for help when he was swept away.

"The witness heard the victim's screams, then tried to help the victim by handing over a bamboo stick with the intention that the victim could grab the bamboo stick that was offered. However, the victim could not hold the bamboo stem until the victim drowned," explained Adam. According to Adam, the two witnesses did not know the victim. However, from the information obtained by his party, the victim is a resident with disabilities.
