Democrats Announce The Governors Of Jakarta, West Java, And Central Java In Early August

The Democratic Party Central Leadership Council (DPP) will announce the prospective governor candidate (readgub) in the Jakarta, West Java (West Java), and Central Java (Central Java) gubernatorial elections in early August.

"East Java has, Central Java in the near future, West Java in the near future, Jakarta in the near future, so maybe in early August we will go to priority areas, which are in the public spotlight, and become a political storefront for regional elections," said Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) Andi Arief when met at the DPP office of the Democratic Party, Jalan Proclamation, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Saturday night.

Currently, the Democrat Party is evaluating the electability of figures who will be carried through surveys to other factors.

"Yes, we are starting to evaluate the survey. The first condition is that he has electability, secondly, he has a coalition or not, the coalition is everywhere, right, then the other three things that must be prepared, I think it's standard," he explained.

Previously, the Democratic Party officially supported 60 candidate pairs of regional heads to fight in the 2024 Pilkada. Apart from internal party elements, Democrats also carried incumbents, former regional heads to comics.
