Hooray! Bekasi Station Now Serves GeNose Tests For Train Passengers

JAKARTA - PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, opened a GeNose test service at Bekasi Station starting Saturday, March 20, 2021. Now, Bekasi Station has a complete GeNose test kit complete with supporting facilities.

For example, a breath sampling booth, computer equipment, a waiting room and print for analysts and the media (LCD, posters) as a means of socializing how to do the GeNose test. This is to improve services and accommodate the needs of Long Distance Train (KAJJ) service users.

"Prospective train passengers who are going to do the GeNose test are required not to eat / drink and not smoke 30 minutes before doing the GeNose Test," said the Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Eva Chairunisa, in her official statement, Saturday, March 20.

PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, has also imposed a GeNose test price adjustment for services at Gambir Station, Pasar Senen and Bekasi. As of today, the GeNose Test administration fee has been adjusted to Rp.30 thousand.

Eva said the price adjustment for the GeNose Test had gone through a joint evaluation between PT KAI and stakeholders who were collaborating in order to improve services to train customers during the pandemic.

"We again urge prospective users who will use the test service at the station to carry out the H-1 inspection or one day before the scheduled departure," said Eva.

For information, Long-distance train customers are required to show negative results of GeNose C19 or Rapid Antigen or RT-PCR tests whose samples are taken within a maximum period of 3x24 hours before departure.

Meanwhile, especially for departures on religious holidays and long holidays, it is mandatory to show the results of a negative screening for COVID-19, the samples of which are taken within a maximum period of 1x24 hours before departure.

This is based on the Circular of the Ministry of Transportation No. 20 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of People Travel with Railway Transportation during the COVID-19 Pandemic and SE Task Force COVID-19 No. 5 of 2021.
