Jokowi Received The Order Of Zayed Award From The President Of The United Arab Emirates

President Joko Widodo received the highest civil award Order of Zayed from PEA President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Wednesday (17/7/2024) (Doj Setneg)

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received the highest civil award (Order of Zayed) from the President of the United Arab Emirates (PEA) Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan when the two met bilaterally in Qasr Al Watan on Wednesday 17 July 2024.

This award is given as an acknowledgment of Jokowi's efforts to strengthen close relations between the two countries and increase bilateral cooperation during his 10 years of office.

President Mohamed stated that the awarding of the Order of Zayed award to President Joko Widodo is proof of personal appreciation for his invaluable efforts to advance PEA-Indonesia relations.

Jokowi expressed his pride for receiving the award. According to him, the award reflects a special relationship between the two countries. Moreover, the award carries the name of the late Sheikh Zayed, a global inspirational figure with a legacy of eternal human values.

For the acceptance of the award, Mohamed hopes that Jokowi will always be healthy and prosperous, and that the Indonesian people will be more advanced and prosperous.

On a separate occasion, Mohamed also gave the Order of the Union award to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. The award was given as a form of appreciation for Luhut's efforts in strengthening strategic relations between PEA and Indonesia.

Order of Zayed is the highest civil award given by PEA to world leaders and heads of state. A number of figures have received it, including Xi Jinping from China, Narendra Modi from India, Vladimir Putin from Russia, to the elected Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
