PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep asked for permission from Golkar Chairman Airlangga Hartarto because he would become a rival in the 2024 Banten Pilkada.

PSI itself has collaborated with PKS by supporting Andra Soni-Dimyati with Gerindra. Meanwhile, Golkar will carry the former Mayor of South Tangerang, Airin Rachmi Diany.

"Sir, I have a rhyme. Go to Palmerah, don't forget to buy jinten, indeed Golkar and PSI collaborate in several areas, but ask permission, sir, we will cross in Banten," said Kaesang after a meeting with Airlangga at the Golkar Party DPP office, Jakarta, Thursday, July 11.

It is known that the Golkar Party and PSI have collaborated for the Semarang Pilkada. The two parties agreed to carry Dico Ganinduto as a candidate for mayor of Semarang. Kaesang also opened the door to collaborate in the Jakarta Pilkada.

"We also said that, as Pak Airlangga said, we will collaborate in several areas, one of which was Semarang and maybe later in Jakarta," said Kaesang.

Apart from Banten, PSI will also fight Golkar in the Tangerang Mayor Election. PSI has already championed its cadre who is also the Staff of the Minister of State Secretary, Faldo Maldini.

"Well, I introduce you, sir, my potential champion to fight Golkar in Tangerang City, there is a name Faldo Maldini, sir," he said.
