Victims Of Gold Mining Landslide In Gorontalo Continue To Increase, Death 20 People And 51 Still Wanted

GORONTALO - People's mining landslide victims in Tulabolo Village, East Suwawa District, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo continue to grow. From data from the data collection complaint post until Tuesday, July 9 morning, there were an additional nine victims who died.

With this, the number of victims reached 117 people with details of 20 deaths, 46 survivors, and 51 people still being searched.

"We have also received information from officers at the landslide location that nine people have been found dead and are in the process of evacuating to the main post," said Head of the Operations Section of the Gorontalo SAR team Bagus at the Complaints Post, Tuesday morning.

"After arriving at the main post for data collection, the body will then be taken to Bhayangkara Hospital," continued Bagus.

Currently, the Gorontalo SAR office has received assistance from 11 personnel from the central Basarnas and 10 people from Manado SAR, North Sulawesi.

Until now, personnel at the Tulabolo SAR Command Post are trying to collect data and identities of the victims, both compiled from personnel at the mine site, survivors, to the families of the victims.

Meanwhile, at the location of the SAR Command Post, there are still many residents who gather and wait for information regarding the whereabouts of their families who are suspected of being victims of landslides in the people's mining area.
