JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, responded to the PKB proposal that the artist Nagita Slavina wanted to become a candidate for deputy governor (cawagub) accompanying Bobby Nasution in the 2024 North Sumatra Pilkada (Sumut). According to Dasco, the cawagub decision is in the hands of the cagub. "So, for this, the Deputy Governor, of course, will also have to get approval from the candidate for governor (Bobby Nasution), of course because they will cooperate," said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, July 8. However, Dasco did not mind if any political party (political parties) proposed it. Because later, he said, the name cawagub would be decided with the supporting political parties. "Well, then some parties then nominate the deputy governor, of course it's okay, and the decision will be decided together," he said. The deputy chairman of the DPR also said that Gerindra would see the extent of Nagita's potential and electability as a cawagub of North Sumatra. "And that what is nominated we also see has high potential and electability and is liked by the community, yes, it is also of course one of our considerations," said Dasco. Previously, the National Awakening Party (PKB) officially promoted Bobby Nasution to become a candidate for Governor of North Sumatra in the 2024 Pilkada. PKB also proposed that Nagita Slavina become a candidate for deputy governor to accompany President Joko Widodo's son-in-law. This was revealed by the Deputy General Chairperson (Waketum) of PKB Jazilul Fawaid after giving a recommendation to Bobby. "I conveyed to Mas Bobby, indeed this is the era of social media, we propose that Mbak Nagita Slavina accompany him," said Jazilul at the PKB DPP Office, Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 4. Jazilul then asked Bobby to convey to other political parties who also brought him up regarding the PKB proposal that presented the name of Raffi Ahmad's wife as his cawagub.

"One example proposed by PKB, I am sure it is open, another party proposes the name of the woman who will accompany Mas Bobby," said Jazilul.
