Families Of Victims Of Confinement And Torture Visit The Duren Sawit Police For Information

JAKARTA - The Duren Sawit Police have summoned and examined MRR's parents (23) who were victims of confinement and torture by a group of people who were carried out at a cafe on Jalan Pendidikan Raya, RT 03/14, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta.

The victim MRR and her parents were accompanied by their attorney to visit the Duren Sawit Police Headquarters on Saturday, July 6 afternoon.

"So today is the summons to ask his mother for information. To match with other witnesses yesterday," said Muhamad Normansyah, the attorney for the victim MRR to reporters.

Normansyah said that since yesterday, the victim's mother was very sad about what happened to her son with the initials MRR.

"We, the family, cry every day to see the condition of their child like this. When we came home to think about it, it turned out that when we checked his body, he had bruises and cigarette burns," he said.

After cases of confinement and torture were reported to the Duren Sawit Police, investigators from the Criminal Investigation Unit were still examining the victim's witnesses.

"Until now, we have just summoned witnesses from our side, there have been no witnesses from the alleged perpetrators," he said.

As previously reported, a student became a victim of confinement in a building located on Jalan Pendidikan Raya.

Apart from being held captive, the victim with the initials MRR (23) also experienced persecution and a number of tortures in handcuffs by the perpetrators.

The torture and confinement have been going on for several months since February. Luckily, when there was a gap to escape, the victim managed to escape and returned to his home.

According to Y, the victim's uncle said, as a result of the incident, his nephew experienced prolonged trauma.

"(The victim) was psychologically disturbed. He was also handcuffed every day (during confinement and torture)," he said when confirmed by VOI.
