Gerindra Officially Installs Maidi-Bagus Panuntun In Pilwalkot Madiun

The Greater Indonesia Movement Party (Gerindra) officially carries the Pair Maidi and F Bagus Panuntun to run for the 2024 Madiun City Regional Head Election (Pilkada) in November.

The recommendation was submitted by the Deputy Chairperson of the East Java Gerindra Party DPD, Imam Makruf, to Maidi-Good during the Gerindra City Branch Leadership Meeting (Rapimcab) at a hotel in Madiun, East Java, Wednesday, July 3, 2024 night.

"He is a quality and outstanding figure in Madiun City. So, we set him to continue for Madiun City even better," said Imam Makruf, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 4.

Maidi is the Mayor of Madiun for the 2019-2024 period, while Bagus Panuntun is the Chairman of the Madiun City PSI DPD and also a member of the Madiun City DPRD. Before receiving a recommendation from Gerindra, the Maidi-Bagus Panuntun pair also received a recommendation from the PSI DPP.

Maidi said he was grateful to have received a recommendation from the Gerindra Party.

He said there were already four political parties that gave recommendations for him to become candidates for the Mayor of Madiun, namely PSI, Nasdem, Democrats, and Gerindra.

"Hopefully later the other parties will follow soon," he said.

He hopes that all political parties can join the coalition to support him.

According to him, to build Madiun City, a joint coalition is needed.

"Madiun City will be worldwide and it needs to be considered together. If everyone enters the coalition, this city will quickly develop and benefit the community," said Maidi.
