PKB Concerning Suspension In North Sumatra Gubernatorial Election: More Tend To Mas Bobby

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) has not announced a recommendation for the prospective Governor of North Sumatra (North Sumatra).

Previously, two North Sumatra gubernatorial candidates had conducted a fit and proper test (UKK) at PKB, namely former North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi and Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution.

Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid revealed that the chances of PKB choosing Bobby to be carried in the North Sumatra gubernatorial election were greater. This was revealed by Jazilul at the PKB DPP Office on Tuesday, July 2 night.

"We are more likely to go to Mas Bobby and both of them are already by the PKB DPP," said Jazilul.

However, the PKB Central Leadership Council (DPP) will still strive to solidify the decision on the nomination recommendations that will be given later.

"This is just waiting for one more step for the final decision from the PKB DPP, whether to Mas Bobby or to another candidate. It has not been decided yet," said Jazilul.

In the previous UKK process, PKB also questioned the winning strategy that Bobby and Edy will implement, to what extent is the current developing political configuration in North Sumatra.

"From this UKK, we have received a more in-depth picture of the profiles of each candidate, its winning potential, and its vision and mission, and so on," said Deputy Chairperson of PKB Hanif Dhabiri, some time ago.

On the one hand, PKB also still needs other political parties to form a coalition in order to carry out its cagub-cawagub choices in the North Sumatra gubernatorial election.

Therefore, when determining who is chosen, PKB first provides a letter of assignment for its cagub candidate to find other political parties that are willing to build a coalition. After that, a letter of recommendation for the investigation was issued.

"But we will have a meeting first at the regional election desk before deciding in North Sumatra who the recommendations will be given to," he added.
