Kendari City Government Believes PAD Fishery Sector Will Increase In 2024

KENDARI - Southeast Sulawesi Province (Sultra) has extraordinary fisheries and marine potential.

The Kendari City Fisheries Service, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) continues to encourage an increase in Regional Original Revenue (PAD) and in 2024 is optimistic that it will increase from the previous year.

"In 2024, we are targeting Regional Original Revenue of IDR 1.07 billion, and God willing, it can exceed the target of between 10-15 percent," said Head of the Fisheries Service, Imran Ismail in Kendari, quoted from ANTARA, Saturday, June 29.

He said that commitment must be realized in terms of achieving the target as well as helping the Kendari City government encourage PAD from the fisheries sector.

"We are optimistic that we can achieve the target given to us this year because the target is still the same as last year's Rp1.07 billion and it is even possible that it will be more," said Imran.

His belief in achieving the target this year is not without basis if you look at the achievements that the Kendari City Fisheries Service has achieved in 2023 which succeeded in exceeding the PAD target of IDR 1.115 billion from the target of IDR 1.07 billion given by the City Government.

"So there are several PAD sources managed by the Fisheries Service, including the Sodoha Fish Auction Place (TPI), Seed Hall in Rahandouna Village, and Samudera Fishing Port (PPS) in Lapulu," he said.

Furthermore, Imran said, his party will continue to develop sectors that have the potential to become new PAD sources such as fish factories in Todonggeu Village, which are currently being worked on so that they can operate in 2024.
