A Surabaya resident reported an X account with the name @paifisstate to the police with the alleged harassment of the symbol of the Nahdlatul Ulama organization, which was made into an nambang cleric. Ali Mahfud is a Surabaya resident who reported the X account to the police because he was concerned about the irresponsible party.

The report has been received by the Surabaya Police with the report number LPM/236/VI/2024/SPKT/POLRESTABES SURABAYA. Ali admitted that he only found out about the upload on Wednesday, June 19. He was annoyed when he saw the NU symbol being matched.

Initially, the green NU logo, which depicted the map of Indonesia in the world sphere and was covered with nine stars, has now become a red nuance, with heavy equipment images, and in the nine stars is covered with rupiah and dollars. Then the name Nahdlatul Ulama was changed to Ulama Nambang (UN).

And what he thinks is beyond the limit is Arabic khat or script writing which still means Nahdlatul Ulama but is made as if it has the meaning of a Mining cleric. Even though the NU logo is the result of the design of KH Ridwan Abdullah through the istikharah process with long and deep spiritual considerations.

Ali also asked the police to immediately follow up on the report on the alleged abuse of the NU symbol. He is worried that if it is not processed immediately, something similar will happen again.
