There are at least three business legal cases that continue to adorn the online media timeline. among others:

1. Jiwasraya Case

The scandal of the alleged corruption case of PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) is still in the public spotlight.

Jiwasraya's case came to light after the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) for the period 2014-2019, Rini Soemarno made a report to the Attorney General's Office on October 17, 2019, regarding alleged fraud and corruption.

Not only that, Jiwasraya is also said to have failed to pay the policy to its customers.

The country's potential losses from this case are said to reach Rp17 trillion. The figure comes from a 10-year investigation of the files, from 2008 to 2018.

Some of the people named as suspects in the corruption case of PT Asuransi Jiwasraya are President Director of PT Hanson International Tbk. Benny Tjokrosaputro, President Commissioner of PT Trada Alam Minera Tbk Heru Hidayat, Finance Director of Jiwasraya for the period January 2013-2018 Hari Prasetyo.

Then President Director of Jiwasraya period 2008-2018 Hendrisman Rahim, former Head of Financial Investment Division Jiwasraya Syahmirwan and Director of PT Maxima Integra Joko Hartono Tirto.

Related to this, there are several things that can be done to solve the problem of Jiwasraya, among others, OJK reforms insurance industrialization, financial restructuring of the company, OJK forms a policy guarantor agency, the government establishes a holding of state-owned insurance and the House of Representatives helps the pansus to save Jiwasraya.

2. Asabri Corruption

Currently, the Attorney General's Office is handling corruption cases at PT Asabri (Persero). The value of corruption is estimated at Rp23.7 trillion, and becomes the largest corruption scandal in Indonesia.

This was conveyed by the Attorney General of ST Burhanuddin on Deddy Corbuzier's YouTube channel in January 2021.

"Ask for his prayers, asabri case is the biggest corruption in Indonesia, up to Rp23.7 trillion," said Burhanudin.

Related to this, Kejagung promised to solve the asabri case, in fact, he is ready to face all the risks that will be faced.

Currently, Kejagung is entering the stage of the smoothing of assets owned by corruption suspects. In the future, these assets will be used to recover state losses.

(Purn) Adam Rachmat Damiri, former President Director of PT Asabri period 2016-2020 Lt. Gen. Sonny Widjaja, former Finance Director of PT Asabri period 2008-2014 Bachtiar Effendi, former Director of Asabri period 2013-2014 and 2015-2019 Hari Setiono, Head of Investment Division of PT Asabri period 2012-2017 Ilham W. Siregar and President Director of PT prima Jaringan Lukman Purnomosidi.

Next, President Director of PT Hanson International Tbk Benny Tjokrosaputro and Commissioner of PT Trada Alam Minera Heru Hidayat.

3. Antam sued Budi Said 1.1 tons of gold

On February 7, 2020 Surabaya-based businessman Budi Said filed a lawsuit against PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Persero (Tbk) at the Surabaya District Court (PN).

The state-owned mining company was sued to pay a loss of Rp 817.4 billion or equivalent to 1.1 tons of gold to Budi.

Based on the decision document No. 2576/Pif.B/2019/PN. Sby quoted by VOI, Tuesday, January 19, there are 5 defendants, among others I (Antam), (II) Endang Kumoro, Head of BELM Surabaya I Antam, (III) Misdianto, Administrative Staff of BELM Surabaya I Antam, (IV) Ahmad Purwanto, General Trading Manufacturing And Service Senior Officer, (V) Eksi Anggraeni.

The feud between Budi and PT Antam occurred when the man dubbed as crazy rich Surabaya bought gold bars at a discounted price of 7,071 kilograms for Rp3,593,672,055,000 aka Rp 3.5 trillion.

However, Budi only received 5,935 kilos of gold bars. While the difference of 1,136 kg never stopped in the hands of budi. But the money has been transferred to Antam's account.
