Infrastructure Development In Nunukan Becomes The Attention Of The Governor Of Kaltara

NUNUKAN Governor of North Kalimantan (Kaltara), Zainal A Paliwang, paid attention to road construction in Mamolo and Binusan Nunukan Regency.

The governor said road infrastructure development is a priority to improve the quality of transportation and connectivity in Nunukan.

"With the improvement of road quality and connectivity, we hope that people can benefit directly from this development, this is not only a matter of roads, but how this road can open access to various sectors such as education, health, and the economy," he said, Wednesday, June 19.

He explained that the Kaltara Provincial Government has released several important projects to be carried out this year, such as the DBH SAWIT Project, namely the construction of roads with a concrete asphalt layer (AC-WC) with a road length of 1,155 meters and a road width of 6 meters.

Then the DAK Project for Fiscal Year 2024, two projects through funding for the Special Allocation Fund (DAK), construction of a concrete asphalt layer road (AC-WC) with a road length of 1,528 meters and a width of 6 meters, plus a shoulder of 1.5 meters wide.

"Then the APBD 2024 Fiscal Year project was built on the rigid concrete (rigid) material road with a road length of 525 meters and a road width of 8 meters," he explained.

Governor Zainal revealed that the project was carried out to improve the connectivity and quality of infrastructure in Nunukan, as well as support local economic growth, and increase accessibility.

"The project is expected to have a positive impact on surrounding development such as Binalawan, West Nunukan, Nunukan, South Nunukan, and West Sebatik," he said.

The governor said several other infrastructure plans would soon be implemented, including the construction of the Nunukan Island ring road and coastal roads connecting various important points in the area.

"The data and planning of this project is based on various official sources including the Indonesian Earth Map and several decisions of ministers as well as relevant regional regulations," he explained.

"This infrastructure development is the government's commitment to continue to improve the quality of life of the people of North Kalimantan," said Zainal.

The governor hopes that these projects can have a positive impact on the local community by increasing access to transportation and encouraging economic development in Nunukan.

Zainal is optimistic that the implementation of these projects will improve the quality of life of the community and economic activities in this area will be even more enthusiastic.

"We will continue to monitor the progress of these projects to ensure that everything goes according to plan and provide maximum results for the community," he concluded.
