Muhadjir explained that the blocked account number would later be traced and the data would be checked whether the owner was listed as a beneficiary of social assistance (bansos) or not.
For the owner of the account number who is found to use it to play online gambling, he said, the person concerned will be prosecuted criminally by the Online Gambling Eradication Task Force chaired by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polhukam).
"The action was taken because after all they could not, they received the social assistance and then they could join in playing this gambling," he said.
