Armed With A Track Record Of The Investigation Task Force, Former KPK Investigators Yakin Harun Masiku Immediately Arrested

JAKARTA - Harun Masiku, a suspect in the case of giving gifts or promises to state officials related to the appointment of candidates for elected DPR RI members for the 2019-2024 period at the KPU RI, is believed to be caught soon. This was stated by former investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Yudi Purnomo Hara Harapan who believed AKBP Rossa Purbo Bekto as the Head of the KPK Investigation Task Force could immediately arrest him. "An additional investigative team under the leadership of the Head of the Investigation Task Force AKBP Rossa Purbo Bekti could arrest Harun Masiku," said Yudi in Jakarta, Tuesday. This belief, said Yudi, was based on AKBP Rossa Purbo Bekti's track record as KPK investigator. AKBP Rossa Purbo Bekti in addition to having experience in arresting DPO corruption cases such as Samin Tan, Nurhadi, Rezky Herbiyono, and Hiendra Soenjoto, according to him, Rossa has also been involved as an investigator in the commission's bribery operation involving Harun Masiku. Regarding the confiscation of the cellphone of the PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto, Yudi argued that AKBP Rossa knew what to do after the confiscation. Yudi believes investigators have carried out a digital forensic analysis of the cellphone. However, when will it be completed? Of course it will take time because it depends on the content of the cellphone whether there is a lot of data. If the results of the analysis are related to Harun Masiku's escape or the bribery case of KPU members, according to the KPU's anti-corruption activist, it will certainly be asked to the owner of the cellphone. "Quite or slow. Of course Hasto and Kusnadi will be re-examined whether it is related to the content of the cellphone, images, videos, or voice recording and others," said Yudi, who was once the Chairman of the KPK Employee Forum.

If the two parties referred to are absent from the summons, he continued, investigators have the authority to recall with a second summons and can bring force if they are not present for appropriate reasons.

Regarding whether the confiscated evidence would be returned, Yudi said that of course after being investigated there was no connection with the main case, namely the bribery of KPU members or Harun Masiku's escape, it could be returned and not become evidence. This is just waiting for the investigator's analysis.

According to Yudi, with conditions of noise like this, Harun Masiku and the people who have been hiding and financing the fugitive will certainly look for other strategies to hide, especially since they have not been touched for 4 years. "We pray that Harun Masiku will be caught quickly because this case will not be resolved as long as Harun Masiku has not been caught," said Yudi. Previously, Harun Masiku was named by the KPK as a suspect in the case of alleged giving gifts or promises to state officials related to the determination of candidates for members of the DPR RI elected for the period 2019 2024 at the General Recovery Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia. In this case, Harun Masiku was always absent from the summons of KPK investigators to be included in the wanted list (DPO) since January 17, 2020. Apart from Harun, the other parties involved in the case were members of the KPU for the 2017 period 2022 Wahyu Setiawan.

Wahyu Setiawan who is also convicted in the same case as Harun Masiku. Currently serving a conditional release from 7 years in prison at the Class I Penitentiary Kedungpane Semarang, Central Java.
