JAKARTA - Israel's emergency services reportedly handled a series of fires in northern Israel after dozens of missiles were fired from southern Lebanon into the area around the border town Kiryat Shemona.

Israel's Defense Forces (IDF) said it could not confirm whether the military base had been attacked, but said many launches had been intercepted and several rockets were affected.
