Big Factory Fire In Athens, Firefighters Fight Fire

JAKARTA - Dozens of firefighters are struggling to extinguish the fire that broke out at a cooking utensil factory in Athens, Greece. Dense black smoke rose into the air.

The cause of the fire is not known for certain and it is not yet known whether anyone was trapped inside.

Fourteen fire engines and 42 firefighters were dispatched to the scene on the northern outskirts of Kifisia, a fire service spokesman said.

Greek civil protection authorities issued warnings for local residents to stay indoors to protect themselves from smoke.
