Mothers Demo Ask For UFC Shows To Be Stopped Because They Are Full Of Violence

Dozens of women on behalf of the Alliance of People Caring for Violence asked for the fighting Championship show to be stopped because it was full of violence.

They conveyed this demand when holding an action in front of the Mola TV Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, June 12. The crowd carried a number of banners containing criticism of the impact of UFC broadcasts in Indonesia.

The coordinator of the action, Sandi in the action said that the UFC was being loved by many groups from children to adults.

However, he said the scenes in the fight shows in the ring often display violent things and injure opponents.

"Therefore, people who care about violence both physically and unphysically voice peaceful actions to demand Mola TV to remove and reject the broadcast of all forms of scenes in which elements of violence are contained, one of which is UFC," said Sandi at the location of the action.

Sandi admitted that the broadcast of the UFC was broadcast by Mola TV as a video streaming-based company. However, the rampant violence that has occurred in Indonesia is triggered by digital things, one of which is video streaming.

In this regard, Sandi reiterated that his party urged Mola TV to stop broadcasting UFC broadcasts in Indonesia.

He also reminded that all broadcasts containing violent scenes are stopped because they can be a psychological trigger that is sustainable for children to adults, thus causing acts of violence carried out by most children and adolescents.

"So that this doesn't happen, we initiate and take steps to give warnings and appeals to TV mola to close and stop UFC broadcasts because they are considered to contain elements of violence. So that in the future young people will be created with character without violence between others," said Sandi.

Regarding this action, there has been no official statement from Mola TV.

The UFC is the largest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organization in the world free of charge in the United States. An Indonesian fighter named Jeka Saragih is also known to be playing in the UFC against a 35-year-old fighter, namely Westin Wilson who uses the Brazilian jiujitsu (BJJ) style.
