Controversy Of China's Yuntai Waterfall, Water Apparently Out Of The Pipe In Bebatuan

JAKARTA - The waterfall in Yuntai, Henan, China, became a controversy after it went viral. The waterfall with a beautiful view is said to be supplied artificially through a water pipe in a rock gap.

Gunung Yuntai Park is ranked AAA, aka the highest ranking given to tourist attractions by the country's Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

But its water source, described by the national park site as like the Milky Way galaxy flying downward, gets the spotlight.

Video posted on Chinese social media shows a pipe flowing water into a 314-meter-high waterfall suggesting the water source may not be as natural as visitors have always believed.

The management of Gunung Yuntai Park responded to the video and explained how changes in the dry season require further improvement in waterfalls.

"(The waterfall) cannot guarantee that the waterfall will look the most beautiful by the community because of the changing seasons," they said, explaining that the waterfall had experienced a slight improvement during the dry season.

The park management also expressed their gratitude for the concern, and promised the waterfall would welcome guests this summer in its most perfect and most natural form.

Although the video surprised many people in China, others on social media praised the park's response.

"Besides, the source of the waterfall is not what people see, I don't think it's considered a lie to the public," said one Weibo user.

"You were there to seeaugaun showing off their tail, not to focus on the ass of theow," said another.

Yuntai is not the first waterfall in China to need a little extra help. The weather climate in this country makes it difficult to keep water flowing during the dry season, with less rainfall.

Huangguoshu Falls, located in China's southwestern Guizhou province, is also'suffering' due to the dry season. In 2004, a dam was built to ensure its flow continued.

At the time, the province praised the dam, saying it would end the history of drying up Huangguoshu Falls.
