Golkar Joins PAN And Democrats Support Teguh To Be Cross-Party Cawagubsu?

JAKARTA - Former Vice Chancellor of Bung Karno University (UBK), Teguh Santosa is a strong candidate to run in the North Sumatra Pilgub contestation. The plan to become a deputy governor candidate is supported by grassroots from PAN and the Democratic Party, which is part of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

So far Teguh has received an assignment and blessing from the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono to run in the North Sumatra gubernatorial election to accompany Gerindra Party champion Bobby Nasution. PAN has received Teguh registration and is finalizing an assignment for Teguh to become Bobby's companion.

Secretary of the DPP of the Democratic Party Abdullah Rasyid in his statement in Jakarta, Sunday (9/6) said that his party had met with the North Sumatra PAN DPW who received Teguh registration. Like the Democratic Party, said Rasyid, the North Sumatra PAN DPW also has a very positive record of Teguh Santosa as a migrant from North Sumatra.

Rasyid also said that he could understand that the PAN DPW had the same view as the Democrats to support Teguh to sit as deputy governor accompanying Bobby Nasution.

The combination of these two figures will complement and strengthen each other. Bobby and Teguh are figures who can work together to realize the development vision of North Sumatra," said Rasyid again.

On the other hand, Rasyid also hopes that the Golkar Party will also be willing to support Teguh.

"Teguh as a press practitioner, national media manager has good relations with many top political figures in Indonesia, including with the elite in the Golkar Party today, especially General Chair Airlangga Hartarto. We believe that at a time when the spirit of togetherness of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition will arrive at one common name for the figure of the deputy governor of North Sumatra.
