Puan Calls It Interesting To Carry Anies In The Jakarta Pilkada, NasDem Still Sees Developments

The General Treasurer of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Sahroni, responded to the statement by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani who considered it attractive to support Anies Baswedan to run again in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.

Sahroni assessed that the nomination of the governor of Jakarta was very dynamic. So that NasDem still sees the development of Jakarta's political dynamics in the future.

"Yes, it is very dynamic, yes, in Jakarta, everyone has the potential to run as governor of DKI Jakarta, which is not the capital city later, but we will see the progress," said Sahroni, Wednesday, June 5.

However, if PDIP wants to support Anies running for the Jakarta gubernatorial election, NasDem welcomes it. Because according to him, Jakarta has many potential candidates.

"Yes, if PDIP wants to support Anies very well, there are many extraordinary potential candidates in Jakarta," he continued.

Asked about the meeting between Anies and General Chairperson Surya Paloh, Sahroni considered it not special. He emphasized that the meeting between Anies and Paloh had nothing to do with Puan's statement.

"Yes, Anies can also meet him every day. So it is not guided by for example Puan is interesting to support Anies, for example, that's the right of each party," said the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR.

Previously, the chairman of the PDIPPan DPP Maharani considered Anies Baswedan to be an attractive figure if he returned to running as a candidate for the 2024 Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada).
