North Sumatra Citizens Please Beware! The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency Predicts These 9 Areas Have The Potential For Rain With Lightning And Strong Winds

MEDAN - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning to be aware of potential rain with moderate and heavy intensity and lightning or strong winds in a number of areas in North Sumatra.

At least 9 regions in North Sumatra have the potential to experience moderate and heavy rain, which can be pouring hard with lightning to strong winds.

A number of these areas are Samosir, Simalungun, Humbang Hasundutan, North Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, Sibolga, South Tapanuli Pakpak Bharat, Dairi, and surrounding areas.

Based on written information from the BMKG, in the afternoon until evening, there is potential for light to heavy rain in the areas of Simalungun, Samosir, North Tapanuli, Dairi, Pakpak Bharat, Humbang Hasundutan, Tapanuli Tengah, Sibolga, South Tapanuli, Toba, Mandailing Natal.

"The temperature is between 25.0-33.0 degrees Celsius, humidity is 58-98 percent, the wind blows from the North-Northeast at a speed of 5-30 km/hour", wrote the BMKG as reported by Antara, Saturday, March 13.

Meanwhile, the forecast for sea waves in the waters of North Sabang, West Aceh Waters, West Indian Ocean Aceh, West Indian Ocean Nias is in the moderate category with an altitude of 1.25-2.5 meters.
