The Moment Gibran 'Jokowi' Rakabuming Remembers His Childhood, Meets With The Homeroom Teacher At Surakarta State Junior High School

JAKARTA - The Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, visited his school first, SMP Negeri 1 Surakarta, which is located on Jl. MT Haryono No.4, Manahan, Banjarsari District, Surakarta City, Friday, March 12.

The visit through the Mider Praja program was to monitor the simulation of school preparation for face-to-face teaching and learning activities.

There is a moment of emotion when the visit is made. The eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) suddenly looked for one of the teachers who had taught him while at school.

"Mrs. Handayani, Mrs. Handayani," said Gibran as quoted from the Surakarta news youtube channel, Saturday, March 13.

The figure called Gibran then appears and gives greetings by closing his hands. Gibran then asked, do you remember me, ma'am?

"Still, still," Handayani replied.

"Are you well, Mother?" asked Gibran.

"Healthy healthy," replied Handayani with a happy face.

Gibran also reminisces a little about his childhood memory (little boy, childhood) with his teacher.

"Last time, ma'am, homeroom teacher for class 1 or grade 3 forgot me," asked Gibran.

To the media crew, Handayani admitted that he was happy and proud because his students are now important people in Solo.

"I am very happy, proud to be remembered, proud. The teacher is happy to be greeted. You know, his memory is good but he still has a good memory of his teachers," Handayani said. Handayani hopes that in the hands of Girban Solo it will become a much more developed city.

Gibran admits that he is proud and happy because he sees that his school is much better than his active period, both in terms of buildings and simulations of teaching and learning activities.
