JAKARTA - The National Police have kept their promise to thoroughly investigate the alleged unlawful killing case involving the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) army. One proof of the seriousness of handling is by increasing the status of the case to investigation.

With the status of the case being investigated, it is likely that three members of Polda Metro Jaya will be named suspects. This is because currently they have the status of being reported.

The promise of a thorough investigation of this case was made by the Chief of Police, Komjen Listyo Sigit Prabowo. He ordered his staff to immediately settle the case of the deaths of 6 Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Laskar.

Listyo's reason is that this case has become a public concern. "Regarding cases of public concern, such as KM 50, they will immediately be resolved," said Listyo at the National Police Headquarters, Tuesday, February 16.

The settlement of the case must be carried out immediately because Komnas HAM has already assisted by submitting recommendations. Moreover, some of the evidence found during the investigation has also been submitted.

With the assistance or recommendations and evidence, the case should be resolved quickly. "Because there has been a recommendation from the National Commission on Human Rights, so of course we have to complete it according to the recommendation," he said.

About two weeks later, Bareskrim Polri showed its seriousness. Kabareskrim Polri, Komjen Agus Andrianto, emphasized that the status of the case has already gone up to investigation.

So, only a few more steps to complete the case. For example, the determination of a suspect and the preparation of files and delegation to the Prosecutor's Office.

"Our first investigation has been held with the Prosecutor's Office because later prosecution will be carried out by them," Komjen Agus.

In handling this investigation, it is confirmed that Kabareskrim is 'supervised' by the Prosecutor's Office. The goal is that the case filing can be completed immediately for trial.

"This means that the entire process is running under the supervision of the prosecutor, which will later carry out the prosecution," he said.
