He explained that the fishing boat KM Bintan Jaya 10 departed to look for fish from Mentok Fishing Port to the Java Sea Waters Fishing Ground, around Karang Suji which is part of the waters of South Bangka Regency, on May 24, 2024 and on Friday (31/5) the ship was hit by waves and drowned.

Oka said that his party received information about the KM Bintan Jaya 10 incident which was hit by waves in the waters of Karang Suji carrying four crew members.

Three people are still being searched while one survivor was helped by fishermen who happened to pass through the location named Andong.

The search effort carried out by the team was carried out by deploying a Rigid Buyancy Boat (RBB) belonging to Basarnas and assisted by two local fishing boats.

"The search process will continue to be pursued until the three crew victims who are suspected of being swept away can be found. Hopefully, the joint team's efforts will produce good results and the crew members will be found soon," said Oka.
