Disappointed Danny Pomanto For Handling Floods Sluggishly, Head Of BPBD And Dinsos Makassar Disabled

MAKASSAR - Mayor of Makassar M Ramdhan Pomanto (Danny Pomanto) has suspended two officials because of their slow handling of floods in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

The two officials removed were Head of Social Service Mukhtar Tahir and Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Muhammad Rusli. Both of them underwent an inspection at the Inspectorate of Makassar City.

"We examine all those that do not meet performance standards. if checked, still rest first. He who was rested yesterday, BPBD and Dinsos. Because in a field like that, performance is very disappointing, "said Danny Pomanto in Makassar, Friday, March 12.

Their removal was carried out after Danny Pomanto received reports that a number of Makassar residents who had fled had not received food assistance. In fact, Danny Pomanto has reminded all SKPDs to work quickly in handling disasters.

"I received a report that he (the refugee) had eaten, after I checked it turned out that he had not eaten. So, when I checked it was said that he had eaten breakfast. It was not allowed, the government must attend. Why? Because I had reminded you the day before, "said Danny Pomanto.

Danny Pomanto previously directly inspected the location of the flood and reprimanded the related SKPD together with the joint disaster management team.

"Since yesterday I have reviewed the locations of floods including in Tamalate District and today I have directly reviewed the locations of floods and evacuation points in the Kodam 3 complex, Katimbang Village, Biringkanaya District, then in Perumnas Antang Blok 8 and 10 Manggala District," said Danny Pomanto, Thursday , March 11.
