JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency is investigating a illegal parking attendant around the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) which is said to have set parking fees of up to IDR 25 thousand.

Head of the Parking Management Unit (UP) of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Aji Kusambarto, confirmed that the illegal parking area would be brought under control.

"I have sent members to check in the field. Later we will carry out control, as well as coordination between the Transportation Service and the service tribe," said Aji when contacted, Friday, May 31.

Aji emphasized that the parking management at a rate of Rp. 25,000 did not cooperate with the stadium manager even though there was a special ticket.

"That's not official parking because the tickets are not official. We will investigate it later, it will be coordinated with the Office to be moved," said Aji.

On the one hand, Aji admitted that he did not know whether the BUMD PT Jakpro as the manager of JIS provided an official parking location for visitors at that time.

This is because the limited parking space at JIS makes managers often close parking areas when activities are being held that are quite large.

"In the JIS, there is a parking bag. Maybe the JIS can be asked," said Aji.

For information, a viral video on social media of a JIS visitor who is charged a parking fee of IDR 25,000.

In the TikTok account @mansuuyyyy, initially, he said he wanted to watch the Persija Jakarta vs PSIS Semarang match on Thursday, May 30.

"Indeed, the JIS stadium supports old vehicles, yes, it's not for private vehicles. But you want to know what's special? This is the parking lot, this is the price," he said in the video, viewed Friday (31/5/2024).

He then showed a parking ticket that was written at a rate of Rp. 25 thousand. It was also written that the vehicle owner was asked not to lose the ticket.

If the ticket is lost, the vehicle owner will be fined an additional IDR 20,000. It is also written that the loss or damage to the vehicle is not the responsibility of the parking manager.
