IDR 530 Million And Thousands Of Illegal Drugs Confiscated From AC, Police: 5 Years Of Operation And Online Shop

JAKARTA - The Serang City Police Narcotics Detective Unit managed to arrest a hard drugs seller with the initials AC (24) at Bumi Serang Baru Housing, Kaligandu Village, Serang Kota District.

Head of Bin Ops, Narcotics Unit, City Police, Iptu Markhus, said the perpetrator was arrested on Thursday, March 11 at his home. From the location, officers found thousands of drugs that entered the G list (Dangerous List)

"We confiscated 1,238 items of Hexyimer type and 905 items of Trihexphenidil and the proceeds from sales of Rp. 530 million and a pack of clear plastic clips," he said, in Serang, Banten, as reported by Antara, Friday, March 12.

He further revealed that the arrests started from residents' reports and were immediately investigated by members.

AC perpetrators have committed a criminal act deliberately producing or circulating pharmaceutical preparations and or medical devices that do not meet standards and or requirements for safety of efficacy or quality benefits and do not have distribution permits.

"AC also markets hard drugs in the online Shoppe application. It's been five years of selling this drug," he said.

Then the suspect and the evidence were taken and secured to the City Serang City Resort Narcotics Police Office for further investigation.

"The perpetrator is subject to article 196 junto 197 health law number 36 of 2009 with the threat of 15 years in prison," he said.
