NasDem Consider Supporting Kaesang In The Depok Or Bekasi Pilwalkot

JAKARTA - The NasDem Party opens an opportunity to support the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Kaesang Pangarep, to run in the Depok or Bekasi Pilwalkot. This was revealed by the Chairman of the NasDem Party Election Winning Body (Bappilu), Prananda Surya Paloh.

"We could support Kaesang," said Prananda when giving a press statement at Nasdem Tower, Jakarta, Tuesday, May 28.

Prananda assesses that Kaesang is a young politician who has a lot of potential to study, in accordance with the NasDem Party's commitment to support young regional head candidates in the 2024 Pilkada.

"We can support anyone, but that option is certainly open because Mas Kaesang is also very young," he added.

He also said that Kaesang has great potential to run in the 2024 Pilkada, given the demographics of the Indonesian population.

"60% of our population is young voters, voters under 45," he explained.

Previously, the National Volunteer Pro Prabowo-Gibran (Pa-Gi) took a form to recruit Bekasi mayorial candidates in the 2024 Pilkada for Kaesang at the DPC office of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Bekasi City, West Java, last Monday.

Chairman of Pro Pa-Gi National Volunteers, Richard Effendi Siregar, stated that taking a form on behalf of Kaesang through the selection of candidates at PKB was based on the wishes and requests of the people of Bekasi City. The move was taken after his party conducted opinion polls and socialization.

"So, not individual wishes, but the people of Bekasi," said Richard.

Furthermore, the Kaesang-Faldo volunteer group for the Change of Depok City (Kado) asked PSI to carry Kaesang and the Special Staff of the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg), Faldo Maldini, to run in the 2024 Depok Pilwalkot.
