Tomorrow Wednesday, Polda Metro Jaya Will Check SYL In Firli Bahuri's Gratification Case

The Polda Metro Jaya is said to be planning to examine the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL, in handling cases of alleged extortion and receiving gratuities with the suspect Firli Bahuri. The examination is scheduled for Wednesday, May 29.

SYL's attorney, Djamaludin Koedoeboen, said that his client would not only be questioned by the Polda Metro Jaya. However, two former officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, namely Kasdi Subagyono and Muhammad Hatta, were also summoned to provide information.

"Three of them were all summoned, Mr. SYL, Mr. Hatta and Mr. Kasdi in connection with the alleged case committed by the former KPK leadership," Koedoeboen told reporters, Tuesday, May 28.

The examination is likely to complete the case file. It is known that investigators are still compiling the case file after it was declared incomplete by the research prosecutor.

Although the investigation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 29, Koedoboen said it is likely that the examination will be rescheduled.

Because, on the same day, the three of them will undergo trial in cases of alleged extortion and acceptance of gratuities as defendants.

Moreover, the panel of judges at the trial on Monday, May 27, stated that the trial could not be postponed due to limited time.

"If according to the chairman of the assembly, we must pursue this trial because the range of time is already very tight, so maybe later friends at the KPK will coordinate with the Polda Metro Jaya so that the technical arrangements are like," said Koedoeboen.

Firli Bahuri was named a suspect based on the results of the case title conducted on Wednesday, November 22.

Several pieces of evidence that became the basis for determining the suspect, namely, foreign exchange documents worth Rp7.4 billion. There are also the results of the extraction of 21 cellphones.

However, Firli Bahuri has not yet been detained. Although, he is already a suspect.

In this case, Firli Bahuri was charged with Article 12 e or Article 12 B or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code.
