Vice President Opens Ijtima Ulama Fatwa Commission In Babel Tomorrow

JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin will open the Ijtima Ulama Fatwa Commission throughout Indonesia which took place at the Bahrul Ulum Sungai Lihat Islamic Boarding School, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung (Babel), Tuesday (28/5).

The three-year trial of the national fatwa cleric which will be held from May 28 to 31, 2024, was attended by the representatives of the Fatwa Commission of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in Indonesia and various Islamic organizations.

"In addition, fatwa experts were also invited from a number of universities and Islamic boarding schools as well as cross-field authorities according to the theme of the agenda," said Special Staff of the Vice President for Communication and Information Masduki Baidlowi in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Monday, May 27.

The focus of Ijtima Ulama in 2024, continued Masduki, is divided into three fields, namely Masail Asasiyah Wathaniyah (national strategic issues) which include issues of inter-national relations, law of saying cross-religious greetings to the ethics of state administration.

Second, Masail Fiqhiyah Mu'ashirah (contemporaneous fiqh problem) such as zakat for Youtuber-Selebgram income, pig blood law for halal animal feed to the issue of mabitdi Muzdalifah by simply crossing/murur.

Finally, Masail Qanuniyah (problem of statutory regulations), including religious services other than Islam in the KUA and the Asset Confiscation Bill.

"The results of the 8th Ijtima Ulama are expected, according to their theme, to further strengthen "Fatwa as a Guide to Religion for the Benefit of the Nation," said Masduki.
