Maktour Travel Owner Says KPK Lacks Research When Responding To Calls In SYL Cases, Why?

JAKARTA - The owner of Maktour Travel, Fuad Hasan Masyhur, said that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was not careful. This is because a summons to him some time ago actually asked him to attend South Sulawesi even though he had lived in Jakarta since the 1980s.

This was conveyed by Fuad when he fulfilled the KPK's summons today, Monday, May 27. He underwent examination as a witness to the alleged money laundering crime (TPPU) that ensnared former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

"(Last week, ed) was not present at all. There was a mistake, the lack of accuracy was possible from the KPK because I had lived in Jakarta from the 80s. I became strange when I was called to Sulawesi," said Fuad to reporters at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday, May 27.

Fuad had felt he was being bullied. "How come suddenly there is a call for a difference of a few hours," he said.

The travel agent entrepreneur said he would be cooperative if the summons made by the anti-corruption commission was correct. This is the reason why it is fulfilling the recall now.

Furthermore, Fuad also spoke about three of his subordinates who were said to have been absent by the anti-corruption commission. He defended the three of them because they thought that no summons had been sent.

It is known, Junadya Kartika, who is the Director of Maktour Travel with two of her employees, namely Sukena and Rifanah, did not fulfill the summons as witnesses in the same case on Wednesday, May 15. They are said to have not attended for no apparent reason.

"Not absent, there is no call at all. There is only WA," he said.

"This is the official organization when sending is only WA. It's not necessarily true. In fact, I'm joking, I ask, yes, if today is still going to lie, it's not the time," continued Fuad.

As previously reported, the KPK again summoned Fuad Hasan Masyhur, who is the owner of Maktour Travel on Monday, May 27. He should have been questioned on Tuesday, May 14.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said Fuad's statement was needed to investigate allegations of money laundering by former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

Meanwhile, Syahrul was charged as a suspect in the alleged crime of money laundering (TPPU). This step was taken after the development of the extortion and acceptance of gratuities that were being tried at the Jakarta Corruption Court was developed.

In this case, the anti-corruption commission has confiscated a number of assets that Syahrul allegedly bought with corruption proceeds. One of them is a white Mitsubishi Sport Dakar hidden in an empty land in the Makassar area, South Sulawesi.
