Police Determine Buyers Of Lantigiang Island As Suspects

JAKARTA - The police have named Asdianti as a suspect in the case of buying and selling Lantigiang Island, Selayar Islands, South Sulawesi. So, currently, there are a total of three suspects in this case.

"We have named the suspect with the initials A", said Public Relations Officer of the Selayar Regency Police, Ipda Hasan Zulkarnain in his statement, Friday, March 12.

In this case, Asdianti is a suspect based on the results of the case title. This is because she is a buyer of Lantigiang Island and has conspired to buy and sell islands in the national park area.

However, Asdianti's whereabouts are currently unknown. Asdianti cannot be reached yet to undergo an examination as a suspect.

"Calls have been sent to his family and his cellphone was contacted but it is no longer active," he said.

As previously, the police had named two suspects. They are former Village Heads named Abdullah and Kasman.

In this case, Abdullah is said to have played a role in the forgery of land certificates for the island of Lantigiang. Meanwhile, Kasman played a role in receiving a down payment (DP) for sales and was active in facilitating the buying and selling of Lantigiang Island.

Thus, the suspects are charged under Article 263 of the Criminal Code related to document forgery.
