Update On COVID-19 As Of March 11: New Cases Of 5,144, Healed 8,170 People

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. The total cumulative cases totaled 1,403,722 people since the first cases were announced on March 2. Meanwhile, new cases per day reached 5,144 people

Meanwhile, the number of cases recovered today has increased by 8,170 people, so that a total of 1,224,603 people have recovered. Meanwhile, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 117 people and a total of 38,049 people.

Meanwhile, the province with the most new cases was in DKI Jakarta with 1,754 new cases and a total of 355,869. DKI Jakarta is also the province with the most accumulated cases in Indonesia.

Furthermore, West Java has 781 new cases with a total of 228,277 cases. East Kalimantan 438 new cases and the total cumulative cases reached 59,175, East Java 34 new cases with a total of 133,630 cases. Then, Central Java 251 new cases with a total of 160,062 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 4,212 recovered cases. DKI Jakarta followed with an additional 903 cases. Then, followed by East Kalimantan with 469 cases recovered, Papua with 425 cases, and East Java with 375 cases.

There were also three provinces that reported no additional new cases, namely West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Gorontalo, and North Maluku. Then, four provinces reported additional cases under 10, namely North Sulawesi 3 cases, West Sulawesi 8 cases, Maluku 9 cases and Jambi 9 cases.

"The highest number of deaths was in DKI Jakarta Province with 25 people. Then, East Java 22 people and Papua 14 people," as quoted from data from the Ministry of Health, Thursday, March 11.

In addition, the number of specimens examined per day reached 65,736 people. Meanwhile, active cases decreased by 3,143 people, bringing the total to 141,070 people.

"For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it is recorded at 61,523 people," he said.

Currently, 121,361 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and the total is 3,696,059 people, and the second dose of vaccination is 32,737, with a cumulative total of 1,295,615. Meanwhile, the target target for vaccination is 40,349,051 people.
