Khofifah-Emil Dardark Kompak Calls Communication With PDIP For Pilkada

JAKARTA - The pair for the candidate for governor and deputy governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa-Emil Elistianto Dardak compactly said that they were communicating with the PDI-P for the 2024 East Java Regional Head Election contestation.

"Yes, we are still communicating," said Khofifah, Governor of East Java for the 2019-2024 period, in the Kebayoran Baru area, Jakarta, Friday, May 17, evening.

Emil Dardak as Deputy Governor of East Java for the 2019-2024 period also conveyed the same thing when he arrived at the event of providing official Golkar Party support for Khofifah-Emil in the East Java Pilkada.

"PDIP is actually running. Mother (Khofifah) is also running. God willing, the atmosphere will be very fluid, familiar," he explained, quoted from Antara.

Meanwhile, the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, is still reluctant to comment on the PDIP opportunity, the non-Coalition of Advanced Indonesia (KIM) party, to support Khofifah-Emil in the 2024 East Java Pilkada.

"We talked to KIM, beyond that we will not comment. It must be discussed in another office," he said.

The Golkar Party is a member of KIM to carry the President-Deputy President-elect of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election. Other parties that are members of KIM include the Gerindra Party, the Democratic Party, and the National Mandate Party (PAN).

Meanwhile, the PDIP during the 2024 presidential election carried the pair Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md together with the United Development Party (PPP), the Perindo Party, and the People's Conscience Party (Hanura).

On the other hand, Airlangga had joked that Khofifah-Emil would run in the DKI Jakarta Pilkada.

"At first we thought Khofifah and Emil wanted to go to Jakarta, so I called tonight. It turned out to be still in East Java," he said.
