JAKARTA - Film VINA: Sebelum Tujuh Hari berhasil menarik perhatian warganet, hingga kasus penganiayaan yang terjadi di Cirebon ini kembali dibuka. Kasus ini terjadi pada 27 Agustus Agustus 2016 dan dilaporkan sebagai kasus kecelakaan tunggal. Setelah diusut dan menemukan banyak kelebigalan akhirnya terkuka Vina dan kekasihnya mengalami penganiayaan oleh 11 orang geng motor.

Initially this case was handled by the Cirebon Police, but was later transferred to the West Java Regional Police. The 8 suspects had given their statements in the BAP while this case was still being handled by the Cirebon Police. However, after being transferred to the West Java Regional Police, the BAP from 8 people changed. What originally said there were still 3 other suspects involved, suddenly changed from the BAP.

This has caught the attention of the famous lawyer Hotman Paris, accompanied by the irregularities of 3 DPOs issued without photos or sketches of the fugitive's face. Finally, this case was reopened by searching and chasing 3 other suspects. Then when will this case expire? Given that this case has been going on for 8 years.

In the Criminal Code Law Article 78 Paragraph 4 concerning the Expiration Period of Criminal Prosecution, it states that crimes that are threatened with the death penalty or life imprisonment will expire after 18 years. And in Law no. 1 Year 2023 Article 136 Paragraph 1e states that the prosecution authority is declared null and void if after more than 20 years for criminal acts that are threatened with a maximum imprisonment of 20 years, life imprisonment, or the death penalty.

So with this, the case of abuse against Vina and her lover, Eki in Cirebon will expire in 2034 or 10 years from now. Watch the video below.
