CIBINONG - The Regent of Bogor, West Java, Ade Yasin prepared a report from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) led by Basuki Hadimuljono regarding Puncak Route 2.

"Hopefully this can be realized soon, we will report it to the Ministry of PUPR. Hopefully it will be responded and immediately built. Ask the people of Bogor Regency", said Ade Yasin in Cibinong, Bogor, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 9.

The Regent of Bogor and his ranks walked along the dirt road. Ade Yasin reviewed the road opening that was carried out involving the TNI after being "stuck" since 2015.

Ade Yasin uses a regional budget of IDR 5 billion to open part of the route by the TNI in 2020. But this budget is insignificant when compared to the need for road infrastructure development which is estimated at IDR 1.5 trillion.

According to her, even though the West Java Provincial Government has not financed the Puncak Route 2 work, she hopes that the construction will be carried out by the Ministry of PUPR.

"The information I received was DED (detailed engineering design) by the PUPR Ministry. Then the auction was then continued with construction work. These were all built by the PUPR Ministry", said Ade Yasin.

She is optimistic that the route which is also known as the East Central Axis (PTT) can have positive implications for the economic aspect, namely raising the Human Development Index (HDI) in the eastern region of Bogor Regency.

"More than 550 thousand people living in these five sub-districts, namely Citeureup, Babakanmadang, Cariu, Tanjungsari and Sukamakmur, will get (economic) influence from the development of this road", she said.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Bogor Regency, Sukamakmur District has an HDI of 52.23 points, below the IPM average of Bogor Regency of 69.12 points. Sukamakmur sub-district even has the lowest HDI value of the 40 sub-districts in Bogor Regency.
