President Jokowi Will Discuss The Spotlight Of Leaning On Customs Through Internal Meetings

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo will discuss the public spotlight on the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Bea Excise), in an internal meeting with relevant ministries and institutions.

"Yes, we will announce it later, (discuss) at an internal meeting," said President Jokowi briefly, on the sidelines of a working visit in Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, May 14.

This statement was made by the Head of State in response to the recent widespread public spotlight on the Directorate General of Customs and Excise on social media.

Customs and Excise are in the spotlight on social media regarding the delivery of a number of goods from abroad.

Events that have attracted public attention include fines for shoe products ordered by a consumer from abroad, sending grants in the form of keyboards for extraordinary schools (SLB), robot toy products for YouTube collections, to import duties for coffins.
