Mayor Of Bima Arya Believes That Vaccines Will Start Working, Evidence That No Health Care Workers Got COVID-19 As Of Early March

BOGOR - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto said the COVID-19 vaccine that has been injected into health workers in Bogor City, West Java, has started working. It was proven that health workers had zero exposure to COVID-19 until the first week of March.

"The vaccine is starting to work to increase antibodies. The impact is that health workers exposed to COVID-19 have decreased drastically", Bima Arya said in Bogor City as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 9.

Bima Arya explained that in February 2021 there were still 10 health workers who were exposed to COVID-19 but this March nothing, none of them were exposed at all.

"This means that the vaccine that has been injected into health workers in the first stage has worked well and there are no side effects", he said.

Previously, the Head of the Bogor City Health Office, Sri Nowo Retno, said that there were 10,772 health workers recorded in the Health Human Resources Information System and 10,742 people who were registered as vaccine recipients, or 99.72 percent.

Of the 10,742 people who were injected with the vaccine during the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination, January to the end of February, there were 8,276 people or 76.83 percent, while 2,296 people or 21.37 percent canceled their vaccinations due to several reasons, namely, comorbid, survivors and moderate pregnant and breastfeeding.

However, health workers who canceled vaccination were recorded again to be vaccinated, such as survivors who had been more than three months old, breastfeeding women who were not breastfeeding, and comorbid who were well controlled. "Vaccinations for health workers have been completely completed by the end of February", he said.
