KPK Waits For Audit Results To Ensure State Losses Related To Alleged Fictitious Investment Of PT Taspen

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said the exact figure of state losses incurred from the fictitious investment of PT Taspen (Persero) was still calculated.

Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said the calculation is currently being carried out by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) and the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). The initial findings of state losses caused by this case reached hundreds of billions of rupiah.

"Later on, the decision will finally be on the institution that calculates it, both BPK and BPKP. Even then in the KPK's own forensic audit, whether it will be concluded that at the end of the loss a total of Rp. 1 trillion or maybe below it," Ali told reporters, Friday, May 10.

"But that we are tracing that way, yes, it is being done," he continued.

As for this case, KPK investigators have asked for information from the Investment Director of PT Taspen, Antonius NS Kosasih as a witness on Tuesday, May 7. At that time, he was asked about the use of investment funds being investigated.

"Witness as Director of Investment concurrently with the Investment Committee at that time in recommending the placement of funds in PT Taspen (Persero) amounting to Rp1 trillion and this is the object of the current investigation that the KPK continues to explore," said Ali.

Previously reported, the KPK decided to increase allegations of corruption at PT Taspen (Persero) from investigation to investigation. Requests for prevention abroad against the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights have also been carried out.

Based on information circulating, they are Antonius N.S. Kosasih, who has now been disabled from his position and Ekiawan Heri Primaryanto as President Director of Insight Investments Management. This effort was made to facilitate investigations.

In this case, the KPK suspects that there was a fictitious investment that caused state losses of up to hundreds of billions of rupiah. This is an initial calculation because the amount can still increase according to the results issued by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
